Dr.Unenbat Gurbadam is a liver and pancreatic surgeon. He is working as a Head of the Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic surgical department of the National Cancer Center Mongolia. Unenbat.G graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the Mongolian National University of Medical Science (MNUMS) in 2010, and he completed his Master’s degree in Public Health in 2021; now he is studying in a Doctoral program.
His work journey is closely connected with the National Cancer Center Mongolia (NCCM). After his graduation, Unenbat.G started working as a surgical intern at the Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic surgical department of NCCM and afterwards completing his internship continued working as a Surgeon in this department (2012-2022). In the past period, Unenbat.G has been enrolled in several fellowship programs in South Korea, and France in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic).
Since 2014 he has been working as a General secretary of the Mongolian Hepato-Biliary Pancreatic Society with his supervisor MD, PhD Prof. Chinburen who founded HBP surgery in Mongolia. Together they established the Mongolian Annual Congress of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery and continue developing the minimal invasive surgery. He is majoring in liver and pancreatic cancer surgery. Therefore, he is an enthusiast in the research field of Hepatocellular carcinoma and pancreatic cancer research in Mongolia.
